Slumber Party and Bay to Breakers

Slumber Party:

My bestest buddies Clepto, Berms, and I, along with Dan and Shrag, got together for a much anticipated post-finals slumber party. I ended up getting drunk from a game of STICKS, more commonly known as Spoons. Here are some incriminating pictures:

Bay to Breakers:

My very first Bay to Breakers EVER, and already a few lessons learned: don't wear a big box if you want to run, wear shorts cause it gets hot, don't wear new shoes that haven't really been tested out yet, and try not to stand next to naked people!

I was exhausted after the run, and realized that my pinky toes did not like my new shoes too much. I guess I was wearing the wrong socks too, but I'm pretty sure I have to get another set of new running shoes that won't run my pinky toes off. My legs were sweaty-gross after the run because it got pretty warm mid-way.

We were popular with the crowd, but people kept calling us Mario even though it was just me and Dan more than half the time. That box was cumbersome to carry around for seven miles, and half way through the right side of the box broke off because that was the side I didn't glue down. Still, I had a great time being a mystery Super Mario Brothers Box.

This one is from a random flickr account that Dan found:

There were some awesome costumes today, but my favorite definitely had to be the little pirate kid.

DEAR GOD IT IS HOT!

OOH MY GOD! It feels like the sun decided to hug the Earth! It is ridiculously hot outside. I was in my office, but had to run an errand. I stepped out for two seconds and decided the errand could wait. It was 75 degrees at 10 am, if that's any indication. This heat should be illegal! It's MAY for god's sake! AAAHH!!

Moving on to something totally unrelated.. I've been experiencing some crazy light-headedness for some reason. It's not quite as bad as Lucille 2, but it's definitely bothering me. I hope it goes away. Anyway....6 more days until Europe. HOORAY!

Freedom and One more week to go!

Freedom..I am finally free, and summer break has officially commenced! Thank GOODNESS! I need a break! Luckily, I've actually got one coming! No work or school for 18 wonderful days.

It's only about another week before I leave for Europe, but I still don't feel like I'll be going that soon! I wonder which country I'll love the most. I'm pretty excited about Amsterdam because I don't know all that much about the country- aside from the legalized marijuana and the red light district thing.

I've been getting some really great tips recently about stuff to do: Eat fries in Amsterdam, wear clothing that covers your shoulders and your knees at the Vatican, have dinner at the top of the Eiffel Tower, etc. If anyone knows about stuff I need to be informed about and stuff I can't miss in Amsterdam, France, Italy, and Greece, please let me know!

My new goal

My boyfriend was a ROCKSTAR this weekend, May 4th! He finished about a mile swim, 25 mile bike, and 7 mile run in 3 hrs and 3 minutes. I was totally proud of his awesomeness. Here are some pictures:

After watching him accomplish something so difficult, I was inspired to do something I've never thought of doing before: a marathon! In the spirit of bettering myself, I have decided to do a marathon, but start off with a half marathon. Baby steps. There's a half marathon in San Jose on October 5th of this year. I've been running a little more than I usually do these past few months (this doesn't really say much, given that I never really used to run), but I think I'll start trying to progress my runs starting today!
